Programming days for "Active Recovery" is always important. It's not about flooring your athletes every single day because that will eventually deteriorate your athletes. Active recovery days don't have to be boring either. These are the days you can program movements that they do not get a lot of exposure to but can also craft their skill sets in a controlled manner.
